The Mansfield terminal is a 13.9 million gallon liquid asphalt storage facility. It began operation in 2001. Rail cars and over-the-road trucks bring in liquid asphalt. Material is then hauled out by truck to the various Kokosing Materials asphalt plants across Ohio. The tank farm consists of six tanks, with the smallest being 1.7 million gallons and the largest being 4 million gallons. In the summer of 2005, the Kokosing Materials polymer plant was incorporated into the terminal for the production of polymer-modified liquid asphalt. The polymer plant adds an additional seven tanks to the facility. Three of these tanks are used to produce the polymer-modified liquid, along with a 27 thousand gallon storage tank, a 30 thousand gallon storage tank and two 230 thousand gallon finished product storage tanks.
